Randy Wiley, D.C.
Dr. Randy Wiley is one of only a handful of highly trained and experienced McKenzie Method practitioners in the Washington, DC area. He uses this specialized diagnostic technique to evaluate and rapidly alleviate a number of painful conditions, including:
- Back pain
- Carpal Tunnel
- Chronic Headaches
- Complications from failed spinal surgeries
- Disc Herniations
- Migraines
- Neck Pain
- Sciatica
- Tension Headaches
The McKenzie Method is a noninvasive means of evaluating and treating spinal and musculoskeletal disorders, including disc bulges and herniations. McKenzie practitioners are able to help many patients avoid surgery by treating damaged spinal discs through manual therapy and movement. A unique aspect of this specialized approach involves teaching patients to practice individualized exercises on their own so that the damaged tissue will continue to heal and the patients can regain strength and flexibility.
A chiropractor and an expert practitioner of the McKenzie Method, Dr. Wiley has over 15 years of experience as a master personal trainer and sports nutritionist. He has helped numerous patients recover from acute and chronic pain problems, including Olympic athletes and professional athletes from the Washington Redskins and the Miami Dolphins. A dedicated athlete himself, Dr. Randy holds black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Wushu. He has competed in triathlons, cyclo-cross racing and power-lifting, and he continues to run in road and cross-country races.
After completing his undergraduate work in biology at George Mason University, Dr. Wiley completed a doctorate program at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa. He also has completed post-doctorate courses in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.
